Recognition for the International Network of Abertis Chairs

The adventure started by Abertis and the Polytechnic University of Catalonia in 2003 has become an International Network of Abertis Chairs now present in five countries: Brazil, Chile, Spain, France and Puerto Rico.

In 2018, the initiative received the Excellentia Ex Cathedraaward from the University of Valencia in the “Good practices in the management and direction of the resources of the Chairs for the development of their activities”. The award was received by Francesc Robusté, director of the Abertis-UPC Chair, and Josep Maria Mirmi, Corporate Reputation manager at Abertis.

Of the 39 Good Practices of Institutional Chairs and Business of the Spanish University System, recognised by the University of Valencia, the International Network of Abertis Chairs was also a finalist in the “Dissemination and Diffusion” category.

The Abertis Strategic Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Plan establishes the involvement of the Group in the communities where it carries out its business.

The exhibition Miró: la experiencia de mirar” (Miró: the experience of looking)was held at the National Museum of Fine Arts in Buenos Aires (Argentina) from 25th November 2017 to 25th February 2018.

In the previous summary we indicated that the artist Joan Miró maintained a close link with the avant-garde scene in Paris from his youth until a ripe old age. The exhibition sponsored by Abertis at the Grand Palais enabled the Catalan painter to return to the French capital.
